Waunakee Food Pantry could use you!


We need volunteers now more than ever!

Please consider volunteering if you are healthy and under age 70. If however, you have chronic health conditions or are caring for vulnerable or sick family members or friends please do not volunteer at this time.


The Waunakee Food Pantry is now open four times each month for visitors to shop for food. Volunteers are needed to assist visitors as they shop please visit the SignUp Genius website to volunteer for open time slots May to August  2020.


What can you do?

Volunteers help make the Waunakee Food Pantry one of the most efficient operations around. There are so many ways for you to volunteer.

 Sort and shelve food, check expiration dates

Clean shelves, vacuum

Pick up food at donation sites in Waunakee

Guide clients through WFP during open hours

Write thank you notes to donors

Client recordkeeping

WFP recordkeeping

 Student volunteers can

Take clients' grocery bags to their vehicles

Serve refreshments to clients

Sort and shelve food, check expiration dates

Clean shelves, vacuum

By donating time, money or food, you can help us in our effort to end the desperation too many individuals and families in our community face.

Volunteers at the food pantry must be at least 18 years old or accompanied by an adult.  Please wear closed-toe shoes (a health department requirement) and bring a smile.

Volunteer Hours

Groups and individuals are welcome all year:

The first Monday 11:00 am - 1:30 pm

the second Tuesday 4:00 pm 6:30 pm

the third Wednesday 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

the fourth Thursday 4:00 pm 6:30 pm
